Café Amazon has established a sustainable coffee project with aiming to empower smallholder farmers in society by providing opportunities to develop skills, knowledge, and sustainable livelihoods through coffee cultivation, coupled with a dedication to social and environmental stewardship in partnership with 

Sustainable Coffee Sourcing

• Royal Project Foundation​ - Driven by a commitment to support smallholder farmers, Café Amazon in partnership with the Royal Project Foundation in 2014 at the Royal Agricultural Station Inthanon, Chiang Mai. This Partnership focuses on coffee research, varietal improvement, and farming technologies for high-quality Arabica coffee, while promoting conservation-based cultivation. The project later expanded to the Royal Project Development Center in Lertor, Tak Province. Also, expanding and enhancing cooperation with various experts to reach more underserved communities.​
• San Palung Social Enterprise - supporting  and providing farmer know-how in Chiang Rai on coffee plantation, coffee cultivation, coffee processing  for quality production which aligns with Cafe Amazon's standard. Café Amazon also supported a coffee famers by offering a fair price.​
• Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives - expanding the conservation-based model to Nan and Chumphon​
• Department of National Parks, Wildlife and Plant Conservation - operating in Mae Chaem, Chiang Mai.​
• National Land Policy Committee (NLPC) - focusing on northern coffee-growing areas to improve livelihoods alongside sustainable land use.

From 2015 to 2025, Café Amazon has supported the purchasing market of green beans from farmers participating in projects with the Royal Project Foundation, San Palung Social enterprise company and over 1,500 domestic coffee producer community enterprises, with a total volume of more than 7,200 tons.

Café Amazon established a coffee bean processing facility in Mae Wang District, Chiang Mai, as a direct purchasing point for Arabica parchment coffee from smallholder farmers under a fair trade pricing system. The parchment coffee is processed into high-quality green beans and delivered to Café Amazon’s roasting plant using electric vehicles (EV trucks), as part of a pilot project aligned with OR’s SDG policies and the organization’s Net Zero roadmap by 2030. The facility also serves as a knowledge and skill development center for sustainable coffee farming

Café Amazon Park Mueang District, Lampang, across 315 rai of land, the Café Amazon Park aims to strengthen the business ecosystem from upstream to downstream while fostering sustainable development within local communities.
The project features coffee plantations, a research and development center for high-quality coffee varieties, and modern, integrated agricultural processing systems. It also serves as a model learning center for coffee-related technology and innovation, supporting the entire supply chain—from cultivation and varietal research to processing.
Additionally, Café Amazon Park is being developed into a green space and eco-tourism destination, blending local identity, culture, and wisdom. The initiative creates new income opportunities for farmers and acts as a hub of knowledge for entrepreneurs and the public alike

The park serves as a coffee plantation, a research and development center for high-quality coffee varieties, and a process development hub, incorporating modern and integrated agricultural technologies.

Sourcing Coffee Beans Fairly — Creating Income Opportunities and 
Strengthening Local Communities

Amazon Inspiring Campus (AICA), located in Wang Noi District, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya, serves as the official training center for Café Amazon. It provides both theoretical and practical training for store owners, managers, and baristas. The center also offers re-training programs for existing stores to ensure consistent product and service standards across all Café Amazon locations

A Dedicated Training Center — Enhancing Workforce Capability for Café Amazon Retail Excellence

Amazon Inspiring Campus

The Distribution Center, located in Wang Noi District, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya, was established in 2021 to provide end-to-end warehousing and distribution services, supporting products in the Food & Beverage industry. Spanning over 24,000 sq.m., the facility accommodates both ambient and temperature-controlled storage — including chilled and frozen goods.

Certified with international standards, the center meets: LEED Certified for green building design, SAA (Supplier Assurance Food Warehouse and Distribution Audit Standard) for food safety, ISO 14001 for environmental management, and ISO 22301 for business continuity management

To ensure operational efficiency and quality control, the center integrates advanced technologies such as:
• Automated Storage and Retrieval System (ASRS)
• Automated Guided Vehicles (AGV)
• De-Palletizer and Palletizer Robots
• Automated Sorters
• Order Management System (OMS)
• Warehouse Management System (WMS)
• Warehouse Control System (WCS)
Additionally, a 3.5 MWp solar rooftop system supplies clean energy to the Café Amazon Lifestyle Business Complex (OASYS), supporting cost savings and long-term environmental sustainability

The Bakery Factory, located in Wang Noi District, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya, was established in 2021 to produce a wide range of bakery items, with a current production capacity of 1,000 tons per year. The facility supports product supply for Café Amazon stores nationwide.

The factory manufactures:
Freshly Baked Goods such as pies, bread, and cakes
Dry Baked Goods such as popcorn, cookies, and assorted nuts

Certified with international food safety standards including GHP and HACCP, the bakery ensures consistent quality and hygiene across its operations.

Production Process:
1. Weighing ingredients according to recipes
2. Mixing to achieve desired consistency
3. Forming into specific shapes
4. Baking at controlled temperatures
5. Cutting or decorating finished products
6. Packaging for delivery
7. Conducting quality control inspections throughout each stage

The Roastery Plant, located in Wang Noi District, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya, was established in 2015 to produce coffee products. It currently has a maximum production capacity of 11,500 tons per year, supporting both domestic and international Café Amazon stores. The facility also accommodates OEM production, with the ability to produce:

• Whole Bean Coffee
• Drip Coffee (Ground Coffee in Filter Bags)
• Coffee Capsules (Roasted and Ground Coffee)

The plant is internationally certified with standards such as FSSC22000 (Food Safety System Certification) and HALAL. Personnel are trained and certified by globally recognized institutions to perform quality assessments of roasted coffee—including color, aroma, and taste—before it reaches consumers.

Coffee Roasting Process:
1. Sampling of raw coffee beans to test moisture levels and
   defect percentages
2. Sorting and cleaning the raw beans by size
3. Roasting using precise temperature and time settings to develop
   Café Amazon’s signature roast profile, followed by Coffee Cupping to 
   ensure flavor meets international standards
4. Packaging the roasted beans or grinding and placing them into
   packaging, then distributing to the Café Amazon distribution center
   for delivery to consumers

The Coffee Bean Milling Factory in Mae Wang, Chiang Mai, established in 2022, converts parchment coffee into green beans using high-capacity hulling machinery, with an annual production capacity of 2,000 tons. It features a 2,000 sq.m. storage warehouse that can accommodate approximately 1,800 tons of beans. The facility serves as a direct purchasing point for Arabica parchment coffee from Northern Thai farmers, offering fair prices and supplying high-quality green beans to the Café Amazon roasting plant.

In addition, it functions as a training and development center—equipping farmers with knowledge in cultivation, processing, and quality enhancement. Through ongoing consultation and support, the center helps farmers improve product quality and resell their harvests to the facility. Currently, over 400 farmers are registered participants.

The facility is certified under international GHPs (Good Hygiene Practices) for food safety and hygiene standards

The Dry Mix Factory, located in Wang Noi District, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya, was established in 2021 to manufacture powdered beverage ingredients. With an annual production capacity of 13,000 tons, the facility supports distribution to Café Amazon stores both domestically and internationally, while also accommodating OEM production.

The factory produces:
• Pouch Products: Powdered beverages such as cocoa drink mix and 
  flavored additives
• Stick Products: Sugar and non-dairy creamer sachets for hot beverages
• Sachet Products: Ready-to-mix home beverages, including matcha latte
  and dark chocolate drink powder

The facility holds international certifications such as GHP, HACCP, FSSC22000, and HALAL, and its production and packaging processes are ISO 18404-certified for Six Sigma process improvement.

Production Process:
1. Receiving raw materials in 25 kg bags or large bags (500–1,000 kg)
2. Weighing ingredients according to set formulations
3. Mixing ingredients for uniformity
4. Filling into various sachet sizes
5. Conducting quality control throughout the process
